That’s a wrap on 2024!
This was a whirlwind of a year; I marched in parades, canvassed with candidates, and, most of all, celebrated my boys’ first birthday!
Of course, Vice President Harris’s loss in the 2024 elections was a disappointment, and just like you, I am deeply concerned about what will happen in our country over the next four years. But as my children have taught me, hope and resilience are powerful things.
As some of you may know, my boys Theo and Max were born prematurely, and had to spend the first weeks of their lives in the NICU. As a parent, I never imagined that I would have to watch my sons struggle to survive, but these two brave little fighters hung on and refused to give up. To this day, I am still in awe of their strength, and the strength of my wife and their mother, Erica. They taught me perseverance, resilience, and most of all, hope.
It is with their lessons that I enter 2025. No matter what happens over the next four years, I ask that you maintain your hope in the face of adversity, just like my boys did. It is only with hope that we will find the strength to keep fighting for better neighborhoods, a better state, and a better country.
I want to wish you a very happy #newyear, and I look forward to continuing the fight for our neighbors and our communities in 2025, in 2026, and in every year after that.

We mourn the loss of President Carter, a Navy veteran whose compassion, kindness, and commitment to serving people carried on long after he left public office. We admire his deep personal faith, quiet dignity, and willingness to roll up his sleeves, whether it was building a new home for families in need or mediating as an international diplomat. He championed human rights, continued to teach Sunday School at his rural church, and was a strong defender of democracy at home and abroad.
